FRC 2473, Goldstrikers

From Cupertino, California , United States of America

We focus on bringing STEM to the community around us here in Cupertino, California. Our various programs target all age groups in order to bring our community together using the power of STEM.

Description

Our middle school outreach programs focus on teaching middle schoolers basic robotics skills and preparing them for more advanced tech in FTC and FRC. This includes our FLL division, which has 3 teams, as well as workshops we hold around the community where we provide materials and teach kids to put together simple Arduino-based robots.

We also focus on showing our work to the community and giving them opportunities to engage with STEM through our exhibits. We exhibit at the Silicon Valley Fall Festival every year, and this year we're looking to expand to SVCC and Maker's Faire.

We're slowly turning our interest to reaching out to even younger kids, elementary and below, to integrate them too into a STEM based community. Our planned programs for them are fun and engaging, and will have young kids interested in software and hardware owing to how we present it.
