Hello everyone, we, Pandora robotic team, are going to be one of the teams representing Diyarbak?r in the national robotic tournament that will be held in Izmir. We have come with a project for tournament's project theme of this year: Hydrodynamics. Calcification is likely to harm both our health and environment. Calcificated pipes occludes taps and reduces the amount of water running through pipes. There are various solutions to this problem either mechanical or chemical. Yet, we have contemplated proposing a different biological method to solve this issue. We have come to a conclusion thinking that bacteria already being used in many areas can also be utilised in reducing calcification and we have done research accordingly. Our aim was to find out harmless bacteria species on human health that secrete enzymes interacting with molecules causing calcification and at the end of the research we have done, following distillation of harmless Lactobacillus, Leuconostoc, Pediococcus, Streptococcus and Lactococcus bacteria we will ensure the solution and removal of lime by maximising bacteria that show the most effective activity in the most convenient circumstances and making the enzymes they create and molecules causing calcification interact. Thanks to our project, we hope to make human life easier, diminish the problems related our health and environment by reducing the hardness of water which is caused by calcification in pipes.
